Brian is a Librarian, now employed as a Strategy Advisor for Kent County Council. Interests outside of work include (in no particular order) genealogy, technology, cooking, gardening and visiting gardens, reading and watching science fiction, astronomy, photography and ten-pin bowling. The Snail nickname goes back many years, and comes from Brian The Snail, a character on the childrens' programme, The Magic Roundabout.
Karen works in Kent's libraries, and is currently helping to train other staff in the new Public Internet Access (NOF) terminals recently installed in Kent's libraries - and yes, we met whilst working together at Tunbridge Wells library in the 'seventies. Interests outside work include genealogy, playing the guitar (and teaching guitar-playing), gardening and visiting gardens and reading and watching science fiction.
