Family History

Karen: My family history research has been into my maiden name of PATTENDEN. I am a member of the Guild Of One Name Studies and collect any references to this name worldwide. I have a card index of 9,000 entries which I'm slowly putting on computer, and this covers information from civil registration, wills, parish registers, newspapers and photographs to name but a few sources. I am also in active correspondence with other PATTENDENs and their descendants worldwide.

Brian : I am researching my own family tree. My maternal connections are rooted firmly on the Sussex / Kent border (Wadhurst and Mayfield in the main), but my paternal line spreads out across middle England - with an annoying brick wall at present called William Tayler born c1793 in Birmingham !!!
